The Hotel Flora is situated in the heart of Venice, behind St. Mark’s Square, on Calle XXII Marzo, one of the city’s most elegant streets.
The seventeenth−century palazzo housing the hotel was once the School of Painting, frequented by great Venetian artists. Next door is Palazzo Contarini Fasan, which tradition holds to have been the home of Desdemona, heroine of Shakespeare’s Othello.
